Roofing ceremony sets a clear sign for the new warehouse of Movianto Denmark in Greve, close to Copenhagen

The roofing ceremony for the new warehouse of Movianto Denmark, which is designed to perfectly function as a central Northern hub for the distribution to wholesalers, hospital pharmacies, laboratories, nursing homes and private customers, took place on 15th December 2010. The overall construction work is expected to be finished in May 2011. The new warehouse will replace the two former warehouses which were located in Skovlunde, also close to Copenhagen.
The project comes in line with an increasing demand for distribution solutions in the Northern region, including Movianto’s service offerings such as storage, pick & pack, invoicing and inventory management. ‘This is a great moment for everyone involved in the construction project. Although the most important phase is still to come over the next few months, the construction companies have done an amazing job so far. It is great to see a first shape of the building and celebrate the roofing ceremony today – and it makes us proud to stand on the ground of our future Nordic distribution centre’, stated Marina Steensen, Managing Director Movianto Denmark.
The huge construction project includes 17,200 m² of warehousing and 1,800 m² of administration space, 20,000 ambient pallet spaces, 700 chilled pallet locations and 300 pallet spaces for narcotics. All storage facilities will be temperature-controlled. In line with Movianto’s European coverage, the new site is designed to perfectly cater for client’s needs in ever-changing pharmaceutical and healthcare markets. To ensure the same high quality and service standards throughout the whole Movianto Group, the construction is strictly in line with Movianto’s warehouse blueprint and the European Quality Management Standards (EQMS).
The construction of the new buildings is well on its way.
