Movianto expands Northern hub with substantial investment in Denmark

In line with Movianto’s strategy of further expansion in Europe to fulfil customer needs on a wider scale, the company specialising in outsourcing logistics and distribution services is building a new state-of-the-art warehouse in Denmark. The new warehouse will serve as a Nordic hub for Movianto and its clients in the region. The investment in these new facilities has been made in response to the increased demand from international companies from the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and healthcare industry.
The Europe-wide company is investing nearly 38 million Danish kroner (approximately 5.2 million Euro) in the new facilities which will be able to accommodate 20,000 pallet spaces with the possibility of further expansion.
The new Movianto warehouse will be located in Ventrupvej in Greve and will replace the two former warehouses which were located in Skovlunde. The healthcare and pharmaceutical logistics specialists are making this substantial investment to faster adapt to the ever-changing needs of the healthcare industry. The company in Denmark provides its clients with a wide range of services including storage, pick & pack, invoicing and inventory management. The highly advanced IT system ensures that clients are informed of every step along the complex distribution chain. The 24-hour delivery system within Denmark distributes to wholesalers, hospital pharmacies, laboratories, nursing homes and private customers.
The warehouse will be ready to open in May 2011 and Movianto will begin operations there in August 2011.
