Movianto takes on Distribution of Teva Generic Products in Germany

Teva, the world’s leading manufacturer of generic products, is entrusting storage and distribution of their 200 products of the Teva Generics Division to Movianto. From the central depot in Kist, Movianto, the specialised healthcare logistics service provider, will now be supplying pharmacies, hospitals and wholesalers throughout Germany. Teva and Movianto are already working together highly successfully in the Czech Republic and France.
Teva Generics supplies, beside a wide range of standard generic products, also products of their own development in Germany. In this context the greatest variety is to be found in the neurology and cardiology sectors. To cover the complete Teva Generics product portfolio, Movianto will be providing about 800 pallet storage places and will deliver more than 2,800,000 generic product packages every year.
“What convinced us was the European orientation at Movianto”, says Klaus-Dieter Schulz-Mühlenbein, one of the Managing Directors of Teva Germany. “With fully-owned subsidiaries, the company can guarantee consistently high quality on an international level”. The use of the central European IT platform Movianto Prince ensures that Teva always has a complete overview on stocks, and accordingly a high degree of transparency all along the supply chain.
