Movianto further boosts warehouse capacity in Spain
Increased demand for logistical services in the Iberian region

Movianto, a Europe-wide logistics service provider for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry, has further extended its warehouse capacity in Spain, in Valdemoro near Madrid. This second warehouse has been open for business since October 2008.
The expansion was a move to meet the growing demands of the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry in the Iberian region. The new warehouse in Valdemoro, close to Madrid, has a total storage capacity of 9,200 square meters and can store up to 13,000 pallets – this more than doubles the Movianto capacity in Spain which can now hold up to 23,000 pallets. The central location of the new warehouse will further optimise delivery times and have operative synergies with the current facility, which is situated in Getafe, also near to Madrid.
Both warehouses have been constructed in accordance with the latest technical standards and warehouse management system as well as complying with the quality requirements for pharmaceutical logistics and distribution GDP – Good Distribution Practice.
“The expanded storage capacity and the strategically important geographical location in the Iberian region means that Movianto in Spain is now able to respond even more effectively to customers’ requests which include same day delivery in Spain and Portugal,” explains Pedro Cepeda, Managing Director Movianto España.
Movianto is in a position to offer manufacturers from the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and healthcare industry a total of more than 175,000 pallet storage places, spread across locations in ten European countries.
