Movianto opens new sites in Portugal and Slovakia

Movianto’s European network is growing: with new sites in Portugal and Slovakia, the logistics service provider is expanding its presence for its international clients from the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and healthcare industries.
The new site is located close to Lisbon and has been opened recently in cooperation with the Movianto subsidiary in Madrid to enable optimum coverage of the Iberian Peninsula. The new Movianto warehouse in Portugal provides almost 5,000 pallet storage spaces, including temperature controlled storage places and capacities for controlled drugs.
Slovakia is the 13th country to join Movianto’s European network and marks a further step in the company's strategy of expanding into Eastern Europe. A growing demand in the region as well as the commissioning from a renowned pharmaceutical company to have Movianto supply the Czech and Slovak markets, contributed to the decision to create a new site and additional storage capacities.
Similar to the sites in Portugal and Spain, the Slovakian and Czech Movianto subsidiaries will be run by a joint management team in order to ensure operative synergies. With the two new sites, Movianto currently offers over 225,000 pallet storage spaces across Europe.
