Movianto takes over European logistics and distribution
for Smith & Nephew Wound Management
Stuttgart/Germany, 12 January 2007
Movianto Deutschland (formerly Sanalog Logistik), a subsidiary
of the Movianto Group, will take over the European storage
and distribution for the full range of Smith & Nephew
Wound Management products and all related services.
Movianto Deutschland will store the entire Wound Management
programme of world market leader Smith & Nephew in its
logistics centre in Neunkirchen and supply Smith & Nephew's
European customers, primarily wholesalers, pharmacies, hospitals
and medical centres in Germany, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands,
Austria and Switzerland as well as other Central and Eastern
European countries.
Movianto Deutschland will assume responsibility for country-specific
labelling for Central and Eastern Europe, in addition to
the core services storage, pick & pack, dispatch and
transport.
According to Peter Heinemann, Logistics Manager for Continental
Europe, Smith & Nephew, winner of the "Logistics
and Supply Chain Award 2006", places great value on
customer satisfaction and expects the highest quality and
ideal management of the supply chain from its outsourcing
partners.
