Movianto boosts warehouse capacity in Ireland and the
Czech Republic

Movianto, a Europe-wide logistics service provider for
the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry, has extended
its warehouse capacity in Ireland and the Czech Republic
by constructing two new warehouses. This has increased pallet
capacity in Ireland from 5,000 to 12,000 spaces and in the
Czech Republic from 3,000 to 10,500 spaces.
"We are committed to investing in the needs of our
clients and their customers. Numerous new contracts, coupled
with an increase in demand from the pharmaceutical and healthcare
manufacturers for outsourcing logistics services, meant
that investing in new warehouse capacity was a necessity,"
explains Conor Roche, Managing Director of Movianto Group.
Construction of the new warehouses at Greenogue, close
to Dublin, Ireland and Brno in the Czech Republic got underway
in 2006, and started operations in January 2007. Both warehouses
have been constructed in accordance with the latest technical
standards and comply with the quality requirements for pharmaceutical
logistics and distribution GDP - Good Distribution Practice.
In Ireland, Movianto Cahill May Roberts is the market leader
in the provision of supply chain services, including cool
chain distribution. Alongside the warehouse in Dublin, the
new warehouse at Greenogue is ideally located to supply
wholesalers, hospitals, doctors and pharmacies alike.
The expanded storage capacity and the strategically important
geographical location in Brno mean that the Czech company
Movianto ?eská republika will in future be able to
respond even more effectively to customers' requests. It
is intended that in the future, the site in Brno will increasingly
serve as a central warehouse for the eastern European region.
Movianto is in a position to offer manufacturers from the
pharmaceutical, biotechnology and healthcare industry a
total of more than 160,000 pallet storage positions, spread
across locations in nine European countries. A broad range
of additional services such as financial services, clinical
trials and import and export handling round off the range
of services Movianto is able to offer.
