Wyeth again chooses Movianto
Successful distribution cooperation between Wyeth and Sanova
Pharma in Austria is continued
Stuttgart/Germany, 20 April 2007
Wyeth Lederle Pharma, owned by Wyeth Corporation, one of
the largest pharmaceutical groups worldwide, will continue
its exclusive partnership with Movianto's subsidiary in
Austria, Sanova Pharma for the distribution of ambient and
cold chain drugs in Austria.
For Wyeth, Sanova Pharma will not only take care of the
storage, transport and distribution of chilled and ambient
pharmaceuticals to wholesalers and hospitals throughout
Austria, but will also provide additional services, such
as order processing, pick & pack or cash collection.
In the pharmaceutical sector, existing contracts with outsourcing
service providers are regularly examined. For this reason,
Wyeth too had put the Austrian logistics and distribution
contract out to tender once again. Sanova Pharma emerged
from that process as the successful tenderer.
Christian Knoblich, Managing Director of Sanova Pharma,
explained, "As a result of the collaboration with Sanova
Pharma, our clients can optimise their supply chain and
also respond flexibly and reliably to the market demands.
At the same time they benefit from our decades of experience
on the Austrian market and our knowledge of the local consumer
structures."
The Movianto Group is already providing logistics services
for Wyeth subsidiaries, particularly chilled distribution
of vaccines to general practitioners and hospitals in other
European countries.
