2,000 new cold storage locations for pharmaceuticals
Movianto Expands Neunkirchen Warehouse in Saar Region

Thanks to the expansion of its warehouse in Neunkirchen
in Germany's Saar region, Movianto can now offer 2,000 additional
cold storage locations for temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals.
The company, one of the leading European providers of logistics
and distribution services for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology
and healthcare industry, is thus responding to increasing
demand for cold storage.
Movianto's state-of-the-art facility in Neunkirchen offers
its customers the functionality of a central warehouse for
Europe. Pharmaceutical companies store their products with
Movianto, who in turn manage their Europe-wide distribution.
The expansion of the warehouse was prompted by continuous
growth in demand for cold storage, especially in the biotechnology
sector. Of the 2,000 storage locations, 800 are already
occupied by blood plasma products, biotechnological drugs
and vaccinces.
"With our Neunkirchen warehouse, we have established
a hub for the European logistics of major pharmaceutical
manufacturers," as Thomas Creuzberger, Managing Director
Movianto Deutschland GmbH, proudly explained at its opening.
"By building a new cold storage facility and appointing
it with the latest technology, we are responding to the
growing demands of our customers with regard to storage
and distribution processes, especially those pertaining
cool chain logistics."
Movianto ensures a continuous cold chain from the receipt
of goods through storage, picking and distribution. In the
warehouse itself, twenty-four-seven monitoring guarantees
constant temperatures of 2 to 8°C.
The expansion of the Neunkirchen warehouse has strengthened
Movianto's presence in the Saar region and is creating new
jobs. Movianto has a total warehouse capacity of 18,000
pallet locations at two German sites. The company currently
has 180 employees in Germany.
