Movianto is awarded Aurobindo contract

Movianto has secured the contract to provide warehousing
and distribution services for Aurobindo pharmaceuticals.
Aurobindo's two leading trading divisions, Aurex and Milpharm,
based in South Ruislip, Middlesex will utilise Movianto's
logistics network in the UK.
Milpharm Ltd, a pharmaceutical generics company, was bought
through Aurobindo's subsidiary company Aurex in 2006. The
sale included ownership of over one hundred approved Marketing
Authorisations (MAs) by Medicines and Healthcare Products
Regulatory Agency, U.K.
Delivering to other pharmaceutical manufacturers, medical
wholesalers, hospitals and pharmacy companies, Movianto
will pick Aurex and Milpharm's full product ranges at its
Service Centre in Bedford, and distribute throughout the
UK.
Aurobindo Pharma was founded in 1986 by Mr. P.V.Ramaprasad
Reddy, Mr. K.Nityananda Reddy and a small, highly committed
set of professionals. It commenced operations in 1988 with
a single unit manufacturing semi synthetic penicillin (SSPs)
at Pondicherry. In 1992, the company became a public venture.
Today it is a market leader in semi-synthetic penicillin
drugs.
One of the largest API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient)
manufacturers in Asia, Aurobindo Pharma has commercialised
over one hundred API's. Its products are spread over six
major areas encompassing Antibiotics, Anti-Retro Virals,
CVS, CNS, Gastroenterologicals, and Anti-Allergics.

necessitated an extensive logistics solution and Movianto
was the natural choice."
Movianto is the only specialist logistics company that
delivers direct to all UK Wholesalers, GPs, retail pharmacists,
hospitals and nursing homes on a next day basis using its
own fleet of 210 vehicles.

Movianto will distribute Milpharm and Aurex pharmaceutical
products using its network fleet of vehicles, largely fitted
with Masternaut Technology™ satellite tracking systems.
This provides a complete real-time audit trail from the
point at which the products enter the Movianto supply chain
to the point at which they leave it. Delivery van details
such as time of departure, current location, current speed
and internal temperature (both ambient and controlled) are
logged. With the back-up of Movianto's eight chilled depot
facilities, any sensitive pharmaceuticals that cannot be
delivered for any reason will be returned to the nearest
depot for overnight storage and re-delivered the following
day.
Movianto was the UK's first Medical and Healthcare Regulatory
Agency (MHRA) approved chilled transport provider
